Well, it is official. The highly anticipated MMORPG from Bioware is finally accepting Closed Beta Sign Ups. That is right, Star Wars: The Old Republic. I wrote about it a short while ago after there was some substantial information, however I have been anticipating this game since it was merely a rumor.

Well, they revealed today that Star Wars: The Old Republic is accepting beta applications. However the website was flooded, and now has been down for a whole day while they repair the issue. They underestimated the desire for people to play this game, and were overloaded shortly after the announcement.

If anyone’s reading this, they should get excited, because the beta is opening up, and it won’t be too long until you’re in a galaxy far far away, and an even longer time ago than the first movie.
