Tactical Drone

MacDev has made top quality Speedball markers for years. A well known name in tournament paintball, and even the more regular recreational players. Most people cannot afford these markers, no matter what would be said about a marker for $100.00 and one for $2000.00, but rest assured, you do in fact get what you pay for, and for $550.00
This brand new marker is called the “Tactical Drone” or better known since its press release “The MacDev Drone”. It has been looked at from many views, some say it looks and acts like an SP1 from SmartParts, but I highly disagree with that, and others think it will be the newest, hottest thing in woodsball and scenarios for a while to come. I agree with the latter.

I personally feel it will be a great little marker weighing in at, with barrel attached, a light 2 lb and 5.24 oz or 2.38 pounds. It’s powered by 9 volt battery attached to a programmable select board. It is about 47.5 cm long with barrel and 22.5 cm tall (or wide if it’s on its side).

It’s completely milled from CNC aluminum billets, that includes the frame and the rails. The pneumatic drive is basically a simplified valveless version of the Droid from 2008, but it has enough differences to make it a whole new design of its own. The drive is fed by a Gladiator RX2 in-line regulator which is boasted as an industry leading in flow, recharge, reliability, and ease of maintenance. The air efficiency is estimated at 1400+/68/4500 psi.

The electronics are based from the Cyborg RX, but programming and feedback are done via a chameleon led at the back of grip frame. A processor allows for the user to access the fire modes and select different fire options. The barrel is threaded for an autococker, but the stock barrel is 12 inches, so you might not even need an upgrade for it anyhow.

A review will come for this when/if I manage to get a hands on with this product.
